Norfolk Botanical Garden: Garden of Lights
Through January 5
6700 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk
Join in the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of this award-winning light display! Stroll through the garden and be enchanted by over 1.5 million twinkling lights. For those who prefer not to walk, a mobility shuttle is available—just be sure to book it at least one day in advance. On Sunday evenings, bring your furry friends to enjoy the lights too! Dogs of members can enter for free with a paid ticket, while non-member dogs are welcome for $5 each with a paid ticket. Be sure to book your tickets early, as this popular event often sells out!
Holiday Lights at the Beach

Nestled along the Atlantic Ocean, this annual holiday light extravaganza transforms into a breathtaking winter wonderland! This year, experience the magic with a Surfing Santa, vibrant color-changing archways, a dazzling 40-foot Christmas tree that dances to the music, the largest and longest curved LED Light Tunnel in the U.S., and much more. It’s a drive-through event, offering the rare opportunity to drive along the boardwalk—entering at 2nd Street and exiting at 33rd Street.

Kick off the holiday season at City Center in Newport News with an evening of festive fun! Enjoy nightly light shows at the City Center holiday tree. The stunning LED tree features a vibrant digital display, lighting up the night sky with a spectacular display of color and creativity. There are also nightly light shows at the Downing-Gross Cultural Center, and two miles of holiday lights you can drive through at Newport News Park!
